Hey Product Hunt! I'm the student developer behind AP Path Planner. I started this project because AP students often have assignments, study plans, grades, deadlines, and goals spread across different places. I wanted to see if I could build one platform that brought those pieces together. What started as a fairly simple planner became a much larger software engineering project. I built the app with Next.js, React, TypeScript, Firebase Authentication, and Cloud Firestore, then added Firestore Security Rules, automated Playwright testing, Firebase emulator testing, accessibility checks, CI with GitHub Actions, and production deployment. AP Path Planner now lets students manage AP courses and assignments, schedule study sessions, track grades, use a calendar, set study goals, and manage their academic planning from one account. The project has reached the point where feedback from real students is more valuable than me continuing to guess what users want.
