The Anyline Keyboard lets you scan text instead of typing. It functions like any normal keyboard built for iPhones, but with an extra scanning function.
So useful, congrats on the launch! Left some thoughts while running through your landing page here too incase its of interest - https://app.usebubbles.com/02c26...
@tom4 Thanks a lot Tom! I responded on usebubbles already, but to share them here - it's free and will remain free! And when we have more reviews from lovely people like yourself we'll definitely be adding them to the landing page in one form or another!

Seems great in theory but I can't get it to work. I set it up, but when I point it at an IBAN, it doesn't do anything other than circle the digits in blue (which shoes me it can tell they are digits.) It doesn't actually scan them and type them like it does in the video. I tried tapping the screen but it doesn't seem to do anything either.
My phone is the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and it's running Android 9

@anna_0x Hi Anna! Thanks for trying out the keyboard. The recognition might not work as expected if the characters are too shiny or if there are multiple colored backgrounds, especially since some IBANs are printed on cards. What kind of surface are you scanning from?
Report
@krisz_o Scanning them from a computer screen, just to test it out. The screen is not overly bright, it's high definition and it looks pretty much like a piece of paper in the preview....

@anna_0x Hi Anna! Thanks for the details. Most likely the screen is the issue, but we could look deeper into it if you write to us to support and send us the image. We will definitely take this medium into consideration for future tests, thanks for the feedback. Would be great if you could let us know if it works from real paper or printed text. Cheers!
Sounds like a great app, but as far as I can see from your privacy notice you will upload all the scans and process the images on your servers? That worries me a lot.
Isn't it nowadays possible to do all the processing locally on my phone?

This is cool stuff. Bingo Anyline Keyboard . Good job, and there are a lot of use-cases that you need to probe and solve. Way to go!
I love the idea and I've upvoted you, but I can't recognize anything useful. After 10 or so attempts, the only thing it was able to read is QUAKER (typed with large letters on a box of oats).
For everything else, the digits just keep blinking. I wonder if something is wrong with the light (even under a lightbulb), or my phone (XS max with the latest iOS), or myself.
@visualpharm Hi Ivan, thanks for the upvote in spite of the difficulties! We really appreciate the feedback. It could maybe be the light, but it should't just 'blink' at you. Could I follow up with you by email and help figure it out with you? You can get me at m3@anyline.com

I can't get this to work on iOS 13.5. There is no option to enable Camera under Settings -> Anyline Keyboard. It only shows Siri & Search, and Keyboards. Under Keyboards, I've enabled Allow Full Access.
