One interface covers OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Vertex and other hosted models, which matters because our customers each have their own view on which provider their data is allowed to touch. Swapping the model behind an agent is a config change instead of a rewrite, and retries, streaming and token accounting come along with it.
