This thread developed interestingly. A few things.
So @thealexselig, last I remembered you were described by TC as: "SoundFocus’ main goal is to one day sell a piece of hardware (they’re keeping mum on what exactly that will look like) that can be sold at general retail stores that automatically works to help correct your hearing."
Is this an evolution in your thinking? Amp doesn't seem positioned as a corrective device.
Additionally, I'm a user of 2/3 of the functions of this. I keep an extra battery and jambox in my bag, no case, though I've considered it. My question is: does playing stuff from your phone on loud speakers merit carrying a case you'd presumably have on all day? I feel like I use my jambox MAYBE once or twice a week. The extra heft in my pocket would seem like a drag if I didn't use it often. This wouldn't be a big deal if the battery offered comparable charge to a mophie or external battery, but 25% is a bit small compared to 2-3x full charges with some. Do you consider improving the battery storage a priority or as a side benefit to the speakers?
So to my last thought about the twitter storm from @varunsrin. Not a big deal, Im sure lots of people have had that idea on producthunt. Just not so great that you're user 81k and the only contribution to PH is today's submission. It's like you knew enough about PH to tweet people who were on it, but not a single upvote or contribution. Just looks bad.
