We had a specific business requirement at my company: we needed to turn messy meeting discussions into formal, structured documentation for compliance and audit trails. Existing tools (Otter/Fireflies) were either too expensive per-seat or required sending sensitive audio to clouds we couldn't control. So I built AIScriba. It's a self-hosted, Dockerized platform that records meetings (in-person via mic or online via system audio) and uses Google's Gemini 2.5 Flash to synthesize the conversation. It doesn't just "take notes". It generates: Formal Minutes: Executive summaries suitable for board records. Decision Logs: Explicit lists of what was decided. Process Flowcharts: It actually draws Mermaid.js diagrams of the logic discussed.
