Over the past year, I’ve been trying dozens of AI tools for different projects, and I kept running into the same problem: it’s surprisingly hard to discover the right AI tool without wasting hours on scattered lists, outdated directories, or paid communities. At the same time, I realized many indie AI creators had the opposite problem — they were building amazing products, but struggled to get visibility in front of the right audience. That’s why I built Aidirs.best. My goal was to create a place where: • Users can quickly find the most relevant AI tools for their specific needs • Creators can showcase their innovations to a targeted, engaged audience • Both sides benefit from a more transparent and curated discovery experience During the process, I kept refining the structure, categories, and filters based on feedback from early testers. The idea evolved from “a simple directory” into “a community-centric discovery hub” with a focus on quality over quantity.
