AI tools often lack context about the person using them, so people spend time re-prompting for better structure, challenge and support. Aideally turns a psychometric assessment into an personalized profile prompt for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other tools, helping them understand how you think, and adapt their responses to work better with you.

Hi everyone! I'm Tomas, one of the makers of Aideally.
We run a psychometric assessment platform, and for the last year we have spent a lot of time thinking about how LLMs should fit into our product.
At some point the question flipped. Instead of only asking “how can AI help our platform?”, we started asking: “could our assessments help AI?”
Most chatbot personalisation is still based on hardcoded preference toggles or inferred from context. I use AI tools every day, and I still feel like I regularly spend time giving them context about how I want to work with them. For me, that means things like: when to give structure, when to challenge my assumptions, when to be concise, when to go deeper, when to point out likely blind spots.
That felt like a problem our world could actually help with.
Assessment is not exactly the sexiest category. In many ways, good personality questionnaires are quite boring. But boring can be useful when it works.
Aideally is not based on a personality type test. It does not try to put you into a colour, box, animal, archetype, or fixed personality label.
It is based on trait-based, normative assessment. The boring stuff.
That means you answer a questionnaire, and your responses are compared against a wider group of people. The result is not “you are this type of person”. It is more like: you show a stronger or weaker preference compared to other people on specific traits, such as how talkative you tend to be in social situations, how much structure you prefer, how directly you communicate, or how you respond to challenge.
This kind of assessment approach has been used in work psychology for decades. We are now experimenting with a more practical consumer use case: turning those trait results into an AI profile prompt that you can use with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other AI tools.
The question we are trying to answer with this launch is simple:
Does this actually make AI more useful for people? Not in a vague “personalized AI” way, but by giving it better context about how to support your thinking, communication and decision-making.
This is an early version, so I would genuinely value feedback from the Product Hunt community.
I’m especially interested in:
Did the profile feel accurate?
Did it change the quality of responses from your AI assistants (free/paid versions)?
Was the difference meaningful enough that you would keep using it?
Thanks for taking a look. Critical feedback is very welcome. My own resilience score is high, so don’t hold back.
