Hi Product Hunt 👋 We build WordPress plugins at BeautifulPlugins, and AI Content Writer started from a complaint we kept hearing from our own customers: every AI writing tool wanted them to bring the ideas. Type a keyword, get an article. That's fine if you already know what to publish. Most site owners don't — they know their site, not their content calendar. The first version of the plugin was exactly the tool we just described. Keyword in, draft out. It worked, and people used it, but the pre-sales questions kept circling the same thing: "Can it look at what I've already published and figure out what to write next?" That question turned into Autopilot. It reads your existing posts — titles, categories, tags — infers what your site is actually about, and writes articles that fit the niche without repeating what's already there. You need at least five published posts for it to have something to learn from, and then it runs. The bigger shift in our process was realizing we were building the wrong default. We'd assumed the hard part was generation. It was topic selection. Once we stopped treating "what should I write?" as the user's homework, the whole plugin got simpler.
