Everybody who works remotely (like freelancers) knows about risks. Sometimes the customers are not satisfied with the quality of work delivered or loose their upfront payments. Sometimes the contractors have troubles getting paid or have to do more work than they expected and thus they usually include such risks in the budget. And for startup or small business it is too expensive to hire a lawyer especially when the budget is not huge and the parties are from different continents. We hoped blockchain smart contracts could help but they have too many limitations for this purpose. That's why we decided to develop agreed.pro that combines a contract building, a simple task tracking and escrow features. Customer and Contractor split the entire scope of work to separated obligations, define the verification for each obligation, negotiate the details and budget. Then the Customer puts the cost of the project in escrow. During the agreement period the parties change status for each obligation in order to approve their completion and verification. The payment is released to Contractor only if all obligations are met. In the future we also are going to implement automated verification for some kind of obligations.
