Every fitness app I tried handled one thing. None applied the math of progressive overload to everything. So I built AddFive: 7 algorithms for strength, running, HIIT and calisthenics. I didn't want a spreadsheet, so each exercise is the star of the UI. I didn't want robotic TTS, so I spent way too long casting actual voice personas on ElevenLabs. 9 coaches, 2,197 unique quotes. Live Activities, Apple Health. Local-first, no account.
Hey Product Hunt! š
I'm Matthieu, a laser physicist and R&D engineer from Bordeaux, France. By night, I build iOS apps.
I was using a generic workout tracker that applied progressive overload for strength. But then I wanted to improve my cardiovascular health as a former smoker, and no app handled both running & lifting with real progression math.
So I built AddFive. It covers everything:
šŖ Strength: adds weight after consistent performances
š Running: pushes pace, distance, or time
𤸠Calisthenics: advances you to the next variant automatically
š„ HIIT: adds rounds after x consecutive successes
I didn't want a spreadsheet UI. So each exercise is the star of the show. I found a massive library of stick figures on Flaticon, full of character, and used them throughout the app.
The native apple TTS during the workouts felt robotic. So I spent way too long drafting actual coach personas and selecting their voices on ElevenLabs. 9 coaches, 2,197 unique quotes.
The program library includes 100% free programs like "Smoker's Rehab" (that's autobiographical) and "Silver Strength" for older lifters.
Built solo. Local-first. No account, no cloud.

What type of training do you do? Lifting only, or do you mix it with running?
