The interaction model is simple enough that it actually feels usable daily.
Acti
@zhengyang_hou Thanks and yes, keyboard is an omnipresent interface that user gets access to almost everywhere
Acti
@zhengyang_hou Thank you, and yes that's exactly what we aim for--bring the agent to what the user is already used to, the keyboard, rather than have them adopt a new interface

The keyboard layer is probably one of the most unforgiving surfaces in mobile software. Users interact with it constantly, so even tiny delays or inconsistencies become noticeable immediately
Acti
@jiayifun Absolutely. The keyboard is an extremely sensitive surface—latency, reliability, and consistency matter a lot. That's why we're focused on keeping Acti lightweight and making the AI layer feel fast, predictable, and unobtrusive.

I have to know, how did you make such a crazy good UX? who's behind this?
Acti
@shai_snir Honestly, it’s a whole-team effort. Everyone here obsesses over the tiny details, and we all feel responsible for the UX — from the core interaction to every small bit of friction we can remove.
I love this agentic keyboard idea! But the lifetime codes are all claimed. Can I get a personal one?
Acti
@esungjin hey there, glad you liked it. Here's the code for you :1BHHA5
Acti, which works directly on the keyboard, is so easy to use and good.
Acti
@esungjin Thank you so much! That's exactly the experience we set out to create—making AI feel like a natural part of the keyboard. Really glad you like it!
Thanks for supporting android devices. Usually all new apps first appear on iOS.
Thanks for supporting other languages besides English
Given that keyboards inherently have access to highly sensitive text, how does Acti handle the balance between understanding context for AI tasks and ensuring absolute privacy? Are the keystrokes processed strictly locally on the device until a specific 'Skill Key' is triggered, or is there some level of continuous cloud sync needed to anticipate user intent?
Acti
@rhopos yes, context is only shared when 'user' decides to trigger skill or actibar
Congrats on the launch! The keyboard as the agent surface makes a lot of sense. The “without leaving the conversation” part is what stands out to me, because on mobile I’m usually bouncing between messages, calendar, docs, search, and links just to send one useful reply.
I can imagine a workflow like: while texting my team, pull a note from Notion, check the calendar, grab the right link, and draft the response without switching apps.
Curious how far custom Skill Keys can go today for a multi-step flow like that. Does Acti require each step/condition to be explicitly built in the Skill builder, or can it reason through some of the chain at runtime?
Also interested in how you think about permissions/privacy when those workflows touch business docs or calendar data.

I've always thought keyboards were massively underutilized as a system surface. They occupy a huge amount of screen time across every app, yet almost nobody has treated them as programmable environments until recently.
Acti
@tobias_lau Completely agree! The keyboard has more consistent screen time than almost any single app on your phone, yet it's been treated as a static utility for over a decades. Part of it was platform restrictions (no network access by default, sandboxed, etc.), but a lot of it was just nobody reframing what the surface could be. Once you start seeing it as "the place where intent already forms" instead of "the place where letters get typed," the programmability angle becomes obvious in hindsight
Acti
@tobias_lau Exactly! That's why we built Acti. We believe the keyboard will become more important than ever in the AI era.
Acti
@tobias_lau A truly insightful perspective! Nearly 20 years after the iPhone was released, we’ve finally figured out what a keyboard should become.
