I got tired of spending night after night staring into a luminous computer screen blasting blue-rich light at my eyes long after sunset. After a long deep research session with frontier models, the need for Abendrot became apparent. macOS can warm displays natively with Night Shift but it is nowhere near where it needs to be for optimal blue light reduction.
Finally something that does one thing well without all the usual bloat. The sunset transition feels surprisingly natural on my monitor, and honestly I forgot it was even running until the screen shifted colors. Nice work.
