My friend and i dreamt of launching a fashion show, but the 5k per hour fee for a physical event was a lot for us.
So, on June 1, 2024, we opened Blender for the first time and decided to learn 3D. After 3 months of tutorials and countless late nights, we rendered our first CGI fashion show on September 8. The visuals weren't perfect, but the feeling was.
That's when we asked ourselves: what if we could open this power up to every non-3D creative?
That's why we're building cr8-xyz, an open-source platform to make 3D content creation simple and intuitive. Think of it as making world-building as easy as Canva, but with the power of Blender and a global creative community behind it.
