3 & Done is a daily focus app. Every task system its founder tried died of upkeep; this one asks for none. Say what's on your mind, messy is fine, and each morning the three things that matter today come to you by email, each with the reason it made the cut. It suggests three and never limits you; the rest waits until it matters. Speech is transcribed on your own device, nobody reads your list, and days you keep for play stay that way. The web app installs to your phone.

I'm Douglas, and 3 & Done is the task system I built for myself and now sell. It picks three things for you to do each morning, and tells you why. The reasons are built from your own descriptions, your own deadlines and sense of urgency, so you can see that those three are the ones to focus on today.
I've kept a to-do list since 2003, and worked my way through 25 tools along the way. My time with each one ended the same way: not because the tools were bad, but because keeping that list organized, prioritized, and pruned was hard work, which I eventually stopped doing. This is the first one that does that work so that I don't have to.
You put things in however they come to mind, typed or spoken, several at a time, half a sentence, whatever. It sorts them out, groups them into projects, and every morning reads the whole list, picks three for the day, and emails them to you with the reason beside each. If the three are wrong, tell it what's off and it re-ranks once; or choose your own tasks, and it respects your choices. Three is what we choose, but there are no limits: you can add a fourth, pull out from a list of quick wins when you have extra time, or cut down to two.
The ranking runs on Anthropic's Claude models, and the performance is tuned with an eval set: built from patterns in my own tasks, and testers' (with their consent), each with the three I expect back, re-run every time I change a rule or a model. Your list is never used for training, and nobody at 3 & Done reads it.
You can try the real ranking without an account at https://3anddoneapp.com/try. What you type stays in your browser; it's sent for ranking but never stored by us, and speech is transcribed locally on your device.
It's $99/year or $9.99/month, with a free 14-day trial that doesn't ask for a card up front: add one before it ends and the service continues; don't, and the trial ends, nothing charged. Today it's the morning email and a web app that installs to your home screen; native apps for Android and iOS are in development, and will offer push instead of email, if that's your preference.
I'll be here all day. If you try it, tell me whether the three it picked were right for you.
