It's 2048, but the tiles are birds... and they sing. Slide two of the same bird together and they merge into the next, rarer one up the ladder… and you hear it: a real recording of that bird's call. A little Spotted Pardalote becomes a Ruby-crowned Kinglet becomes a Splendid Fairywren… all the way up to a Hoopoe (that's your 2048), and if you're good, a Kea and a Superb Lyrebird.

Yo PH
This is my excuse for saying that I'm working on marketing activities, but in reality, I'm having fun building things.
This is a Eng as Mkt for Bird Rise (an alarm that wakes you to a different real birdsong every morning). That app left me with way too much bird audio and images and not enough excuses to use it.
So, now I'm just obsessed with everything related to birds. I decided to have some fun building a 2048 game (a pretty addictive game), but the tiles are rare birds, and they sing. There are 17 species, up to a Hoopoe at 2048. Every merge plays that bird's real call.

Love the bird call idea, that alone makes it more interesting than regular 2048. One thing that would really push it over the top: a tiny conservation note that pops up the first time you unlock each new bird, something like its habitat or IUCN status. Keeps it educational without breaking the flow, and gives you a reason to keep going for species you might never have heard of.

@iris_rutherford I loved it!
The bird call audio when tiles merge is such a nice touch, especially hearing the Splendid Fairywren for the first time. Kept me playing just to unlock the next one.
Love how the bird calls unlock as you merge upward, it turns a simple puzzle into a tiny birding lesson. Hearing the Hoopoe finally sing after that grind is such a satisfying payoff.
