Yoga Hours

An organized way for yoga teachers to track certifications

Yoga teachers in training have relied on spreadsheets for years to track certification and training hours. Yoga Hours replaces that with an easy, organized way to log YTT and CE hours directly in the app—perfect for capturing hours on the go, even between classes—and export their full history whenever it’s needed. Ready-made templates are available for common credentialing paths like RYT 200, RYT 500, E-RYT, RCYT, and RPYT, while still allowing teachers to create custom goals and tracking paths.

Hi Product Hunt! I’m Michelle, the founder of Yoga Hours. The idea for Yoga Hours started in 2020, when I began my own online yoga teacher training during the COVID era while furloughed from a software engineering role. Like many teachers, I tracked training requirements in spreadsheets and quickly realized how clunky that was. The first version I built was called Breathe In Retrospect—a very poetic (and very long) name. It still exists today, mostly because a few loyal users are still using it. Yoga Hours is the evolved version: a more focused, organized way to log YTT and CE hours, track progress, and export records when needed. It now works across web, iOS, and Android, so teachers can log hours on the go. It includes templates for common credentialing paths, while remaining flexible for custom goals. I’d love to hear how others are tracking training or certification requirements today, and what’s been most frustrating about that process.
