@kreg_herberts, thanks for your question :) You are right, the image of applying neuro tools is controversial. I believe this is the result of neuroscience was the privilege of very few folks able to manage it. It was full of black boxes, hard to implement, and very expensive. We used our 10 years of expertise in neuromarketing research to improve our technologies. We came from traditional market research, where we test plenty of ads or product packages and decided to use our experience to build easy to use and actionable application for user testing. I believe if we provide another layer of actionable insights, it will prove the value of neurotechnologies for user testing. We use system1/system2 decision making and irrational behavior everywhere, both offline and online (and this is where two Nobel prises were issued).

@dmitry_gaiduk, what's the difference between your technology and AI algorithms predicting visual attention? I've tried a few tools and was disappointed so looking for something more accurate

@tobias_kuhn_art, in my experience, testing with real people is more accurate. We rely on how real people see and use your site, not what "obvious" elements they will see/use (or probably not). Human visual attention is driven not only by colors, elements, and contrast. It's highly situational. If we are hungry, our brain will use sight to find signs of places where you could eat. If you are calm and happy, our brain is able to pay attention to the beauty of the landscape or to find signs of places where we could entertain ourselves. Same for web interfaces. We can understand how your content or navigation work in real life (without too obvious conclusions like 'everyone will notice a big red button') 🙂

But for moderated testing, you need to do some homework - set up your experiments beforehand and ask your respondents to install the UXReality app. During the interview, the user could screen share, and you'll be able to discuss his experience. After the interview, you will receive the recording with visual attention and facial expressions. Enjoy! 🙂
