Uber is taking over. As I mentioned earlier on Twitter, I'm surprised to see them move beyond transportation this quickly.

Interesting that Uber won't purchase items for you through Rush. Postmates and Wun Wun will. I'm sure they're avoiding a logistical headache with this decision, and that their ultimate goal would be to offer this, but I wonder if usage will be low given the limited service. Who needs to have something instantly delivered within their city anyways? Seems more like an enterprise offering, and businesses likely have cheap and reliable options for couriers already. Also, cool tidbit from their launch post: UberRush is from "the Uber Garage – our workshop of sorts where we tinker with new ideas for urban logistics." We're gonna see great things from this group for years to come.
