I built TripPlannerHQ after a trip to Thailand where my expense tracking was a mess - currency converter app, iPhone notes, then manually adding everything to a spreadsheet back at the hotel. Every single day. I wanted one place to plan a trip and track spending without the juggling. The core problem: traveling across multiple countries means multiple currencies, and most tools either ignore that or make it painful. TripPlannerHQ converts everything to your home currency automatically, so you always know where you stand. What started as a simple expense tracker grew into a full travel planner - stays, budgets, packing lists, even AI-powered suggestions. I kept adding the things I wished I had on that trip. I got a severance package earlier this year and decided to build this instead of job hunting.
