Toss-up

Hi everyone 👋 I built toss-up.app to fix a simple issue: picking a date for sports with friends kept turning into a long chat thread with no clear outcome. Someone always missed the poll. Someone always replied late. Matching busy calendars felt like a chore. The problem I ran into over and over: - Finding a date took longer than arranging the actual sport. - Group chats got messy and decisions stalled. - People in different apps (WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage) caused split votes. What toss-up.app does: -You pick a few dates. - Friends tap their availability. - The app highlights the best fit for the group. How my approach evolved along the way: - Early tests showed people wanted speed. So I stripped extra features and focused on fast scheduling. - I added a simple “best date” output after feedback from my own group. - Multi-group support came next, since most people juggle football, padel and tennis with different friends. I built this to help my own circle stop wasting time on planning and start doing the fun part: playing the sport. I’d love feedback, ideas, and honest thoughts.
