Hey Product Hunt! A few years ago I moved all my family photos from Google Photos to my Synology NAS. I wanted full control over our memories without relying on cloud services. Everything worked great except for one thing: I really missed that daily "on this day" notification showing photos from years past. That small moment of nostalgia while drinking my morning coffee. I searched for solutions. Found some Docker-based projects, but they were too technical for what I needed. I wanted something my whole family could use without asking me for help. So I built Today in Years. It's been running on my NAS for months now, and my family loves it. Decided to release it in case others are looking for the same thing. A few notes: - Only works with Synology NAS (DSM 7+) and Synology Photos - Built with help from AI tools (transparency matters) - One-time purchase, no subscriptions, no tracking Would love to hear: how do you currently handle photo memories? Still using Google/Apple, or have you moved to self-hosted solutions? Ron
