A single global feed where every post costs more than the last. Permanent. Public. Paid. No ads. No edits. No escape. Would you pay to be heard? A social experiment in voice, value, and silence. Available now on iOS.

Hey everyone! I’m the maker of The Wall.
This started as a fun social experiment:
What if scrolling was free… but posting cost you?
And what if the price went up every time someone spoke?
The Wall is one shared, permanent feed.
No ads. No edits. No algorithms.
Just you, your voice, and the rising cost of being heard.
The first post cost Ø1.
Now it’s Ø2.
Next? Ø3.
It keeps going — for everyone.
It’s about timing, impact, and deciding when it’s worth saying something.
Sometimes that means speaking up early. Sometimes it means waiting too long.
Would love to hear what you think — and see what you’d post before it gets too expensive.
Now on Android.
Simply Write
what's the sole purpose of this app? like there's abundance, i can tweet anything on X for free, so why would I want to pay to share?
// THE WALL //
@_mukund_ Totally fair question.
The Wall’s not trying to replace free platforms — it’s a social experiment.
By making posting cost something (and more each time), it adds weight to what you say.
It’s about timing, impact, and scarcity — not noise.

Hey Robert.
Just want to make myself clear – the purpose is a digital detox?
Or is there any other intention?
// THE WALL //
@busmark_w_nika Hey! Great question.
It’s not exactly a digital detox — more like a rethink.
The idea is to slow things down, add weight to what we say, and make posting a choice with real cost.
So it's part social experiment, part commentary on how we treat attention and permanence online.
But no pressure — you can always just scroll for free :)

@robert_meiring That money aspect really makes me think about how to use my money and time! :D

@taniabell Thanks so much — really glad it resonated with you 🙏

@yash9602 Great question.
For now, the money goes toward keeping the app running — servers, development, and staying independent.
No ads, no investors — just trying to build something weird and sustainable.
Appreciate you asking!
Haha! Nice approach!

@michael_vavilov Thanks!

@catt_marroll Thanks! Glad you noticed that 😄
Even the errors are part of the experience.

@catt_marroll Thanks so much — really appreciate it! 🙌
Ø isn’t a token or crypto — it’s just a fictional unit to show the post price.
But it’s real money behind the scenes: Ø1 = $1 USD, Ø2 = $2, and so on.
You purchase Ø as an in-app purchase through the app — and every time someone posts, the price goes up by 1Ø for everyone.

@robert_meiring gotcha ok that makes sense! Why use the currency at all, and not just make it $?
I might just be the smooth brained one and most people dont find it confusing :)

@catt_marroll Yep, the App Store guidelines play a big role here. Apple’s policies don’t allow apps to use real currency directly for user-generated content without going through their in-app purchase system. So, using a custom currency sidesteps that while still enabling the economic mechanics at the core of the experiment. It's both a design choice and a compliance move.
App Store red tape forces creativity, for better or worse.
