If you own shares or share options in a growing company, your equity stake could increase in value over time. Hopefully, by a lot. But too often, team members aren’t able to understand exactly how equity affects their total compensation. Compensation data doesn’t mean much if it doesn’t include equity. More insight into your total compensation helps you make clearer decisions about your own growth prospects and career progression. Quick notes: The value of shares is often diluted over time when new funding rounds happen. This calculator assumes that your share options will be diluted by 15 % for each subsequent funding round. Also, the output you’ll see does not include taxes or other contributions like pension payments. And lastly, this is not financial advice

Transparency at the offer stage is so critical! So many companies prioritise salary but don't incentivise candidates in the best way because they miss the chance to communicate the cash value equivalent with equity. Puts more power into the candidate's hands – great stuff
