Hey hunters! I'm Jack, the creator of The Dinner Decider. What inspired this? Pure desperation. My wife and I (parents to a 3-year-old) were having the same stressful argument every single night: "What's for dinner?". The "mental load" was real, and it was ruining our evenings. What's the solution? As a developer, I built this tool. It's a free, simple website that turns the decision into a quick game. It has two modes: "Food Battle Royale!" (when you have ideas but can't agree) "Leave it to Destiny!" (a tarot mode when your brain is totally empty) How did it evolve? I cautiously shared an early version on a few parenting and side-project communities, just to see if we were the only ones. The response was overwhelming. It turns out so many people feel this exact same "decision fatigue." My inbox was flooded with couples and parents saying, "I desperately need this!" The best part was the feedback. The community's response is what evolved this from a simple personal tool into a real project. Users immediately started asking for features like 'dietary filters' and, the #1 request, 'a way to add my own familiar recipes.' That early validation is what inspired me to keep building and share it with all of you here on Product Hunt. Today, I'm launching it here to get your feedback. Is this a problem you face? What features would make this truly useful for you? It's my evening here in Australia, and I'm staying up all night to answer every single comment. Let me know what you think!

@chilarai Thank you so much, Chilarai! That really means a lot.

So glad you think the idea is awesome – it was born from way too many real-life arguments about what to cook! haha

Really appreciate you checking it out and showing support!
