Built this because a lot of couples do talk: just badly. Not badly as in cruel or dramatic. More badly as in: the conversation starts when someone’s tired, distracted, already annoyed, or halfway through doing something else. A small frustration from Tuesday comes out sideways on Thursday, and suddenly you’re arguing in the kitchen about something that was never really about the kitchen. That pattern kept sticking with me. It didn’t feel like most couples had “no communication.” It felt like they had no good place to put the hard stuff before it spilled out at the worst possible time. So I made the check-in. It gives couples a private place to save things during the week, then bring them into one shared weekly check-in instead of letting everything leak into random moments. The goal is simple: less low-grade resentment, fewer repeat fights, and conversations that actually lead somewhere. As I built it, the idea got simpler too. The real point of the app is basically this: stop having important conversations in passing.
