I’m Ryan, the co-maker of Synthesis. I am super excited to finally launch our first MVP tool, Synthesis Youtube, an AI-powered app designed to help you listen smarter by allowing you to search through video podcasts on Youtube and get relevant segments back.

Finding the information you need in a podcast episode can be a frustrating and time-consuming process. Skipping through long and uninteresting segments just to find a few minutes of valuable content can be a waste of time. Additionally, information are often scattered across different episodes, making it even harder to find what you need. That's why we created this product - to help people find the information they're looking for in a fast, efficient, and enjoyable manner.

@terencela Hey Terence! Yes, we are working on extending this to cover audio-only podcasts as not all podcasts are available on youtube. We also have plans to build a chrome extension to make it easier for users to use plus delivering more features for effective listening and learning from podcasts AND videos! Stay tuned! 🎉

@olga_neudakh On top of our good search results quality, we also focus on the principle of listen smarter not faster. We offer a way for people to learn effectively from podcasts by giving them access to relevant segments from different podcast episodes. Rather than listening to a 3-hour long podcast where you might only find 5 minutes worth of useful information, Synthesis Youtube give you access to those useful relevant information from different podcast episodes.
This is just the beginning! We have more features in the pipeline for our next launch :) stay tuned!
@olga_neudakh adding to what Ryan has mentioned, I think what also makes it unique is the discovery element - there are some podcast episodes hidden in the past that I would not have discovered otherwise without the semantic search :)

This can be a great product! Everyone now already have a habit of doing organic searches, how you plan to tackle this and change this user behaviour into your favor?
@satyanarayan_prashar Good question. Currently, I am not aware of a well-established search app that allows you to search through podcast(s) and we hope to be able to establish that here. Secondly, you are right about the existing habit of organic searches and so to kickstart our journey, we also plan to incorporate Synthesis Youtube into existing user behaviour via chrome extension. The chrome extension is in the pipeline for next launch :)

Congratulations to the team on the launch of your new product! I can truly appreciate the value of being able to quickly access the most important points of a video or podcast. I'm curious to know more about the AI technology behind Synthesis Youtube. Can you share how your team went about developing the algorithm to identify and timestamp the most important points in a video or podcast? @nimit_mehra1 Thank you Nimit. We use different NLP techniques to scrape, clean, understand, and connect important relevant timestamps to users' queries! It wasn't easy but after a few months of experimenting, we finalise the process and algorithms :)
