@satchmo_saunders Awesome idea - it's a definite 'fear/pain-point' that you're tapping into here! My wife is the organizer, I'm the chaotic last-minute, 'why don't we do this?' person - I've sent her the link for some feedback as she has a hen-do in a few weeks! :)
@danielboardman Aha, so your household has both user types - the organizer who carries the trip, and the "why don't we do this?" wildcard :D! Sujova was built for exactly that pairing, the wildcard ideas get a place to land, instead of derailing the group chat, ha.
A hen-do in a few weeks is a proper test. Group trips with a deadline are where planning either comes together or falls apart. I'd genuinely love to hear how it goes for her, and if anything confuses her in the first five minutes, that feedback is gold to me right now!

@busmark_w_nika Not yet, no in-app route map, though it's exactly the kind of thing that comes up when a group's discussing where to go next. Right now the itinerary is text and time-based.
What's there today, thanks to feedback from an early user: each stop links out to Google Maps, so you can see the route without leaving the flow. A full in-app map is a bigger build, mapping APIs get expensive fast, so linking out is the deliberate choice for now rather than a placeholder.
Genuinely curious what you're picturing though, a full route map, or just pins for the day's stops? That tells me which one would actually get used versus which just sounds nice on a roadmap.

@satchmo_saunders Yes, on Google Maps you can create routes or pin places where you want to go. Also, I like to use this map: https://humbo.com/nika/map
@busmark_w_nika That makes sense, and that's helpful context. Right now Sujova doesn't build or display a route inside the app itself. Stops with a location attached link directly to Google Maps, so you can open it there and use Google's routing tools.
What I'm trying to understand from people who actually use maps this way is, what would add the most value inside Sujova itself. Would you prefer one map showing all of the day's stops pinned in itinerary order, or would you want Sujova to actually build the route between them too?
Also, that visited-places map of yours looks genuinely fun. 23 countries is no joke. Funny coincidence too, Humbo turned up in some travel-category research I did yesterday.

@satchmo_saunders BTW, I can tell you how I proceed when I travel. I, e.g. pin a place within Google Maps and try to do a "circle tour" where I will find the most effective way to go through those "reconnected points". :)
Love the trip alignment concept, that pre-planning step is something most tools skip entirely. One thing that would make this a must-use for my friend group: a split-cost view per person across the whole itinerary, with who paid what and running balances. Right now we always end up in a separate app tracking that stuff.
@sibelkdrw4ar Thank you, and you've put your finger on something real! The "seperate app for money tracking" pattern is exactly the kind of scattered-tools problem Sujova exists to collapse, so a split-cost view per person fits the whole product's reason for being!
It's going on the roadmap today with your framing attached. Who paid what, running balances across the whole itinerary. That's clearer than most specs I write for myself, ha. And it resonates, because My wife and I are currently planning a small group trip, and because of our Riga experience, she just mentioned only a few days ago that she's already making note of exactly who's paying what amung the group..
I'm intrigued, what does your group use for the money side right now? Knowing what it would replace helps me get it right.
