What’s the most absurd recruiting experience you’ve had?

Here’s mine:

Got referred to a Series A founder I actually admired - smart team, real traction.

We had a solid 1st call. He said, "We don’t believe in take-homes, we just move fast."

Cool, I thought. Two days later, I’m on a panel interview with 3 engineers.

Then a "quick" follow-up chat. Then another one.

After 3 rounds + several calls in 10 days, he says: "We’re still aligning internally on the role."

Two months later, the role’s still on their site lol. Never closed. Never rejected.

What about you?
