Hey! I'm the Founder of SongBoard
I built SongBoard to make an event planning platform for DJs that's modern and accessible to both DJs and hosts.
The idea came from my own wedding, where I had to use VIBO as a host and found it dated and hard to use (and then I saw what they were charging for it and I couldn't believe it).
SongBoard is my take on what a modern event planning tool for DJs should look like.
It works on both desktop and mobile (no app needed), it’s more affordable, and it’s built from the ground up for DJs.
DJs can create events from templates, invite hosts to pick songs and fill out info, and export songs right into Serato or VirtualDJ (and can export the entire event to a PDF).
What I’m most excited about is the community side. SongBoard lets DJs share their own templates and songlists, and I can’t wait to see what you all come up with.

the event planning workflow looks really streamlined. how do you handle multiple requests for the same song during an event?

@arynvtsa Right now, a song can just be requested one time per section of the event.
In the near future there will be a "guest mode" which will be for song requests. At that point, I think it'll make sense to add a "upvote" feature for songs.
The main use case for SongBoard right now is for hosts + DJs to plan their private events together. So the way it works today works well for the "happy case"

I created it with one account, deleted the account thinking I could redo it on another account.
What ended up happening was my original account that goes with this launch was deleted 🥲

@jason123 Thanks! So far the most popular event type is weddings, but there are a few other event types in the mix too.
I'll be looking to add some pre-made templates for things like corporate events soon 👏
