I built this app last week as a little side project - it took about 12 hours, so there are probably still lots of bugs. I wanted a simple way to keep track of the books I had read and am currently reading. You can checkout my profile here: http://rocketreads.com/feint If you have any suggestions or ideas let me know.
@feint Anthony back with another beautiful product!
@feint What'd you build it with? Looks great, have been looking for a minimal version of Goodreads for awhile now!
@feint I really like your site. I did a similar project at the end of last year -- https://50books.org -- which is also designed to track reading lists in a minimal way. Great work! PS: My URL is https://50books.org/list/dshaw -- I'm always happy to receive reading suggestions!
@feint Love the simplicity and the design! Would you consider open sourcing it so people can contribute to the product? Started mine here: http://rocketreads.com/TimPetricola
+1 for Goodreads import
This is a great product! Still don't understand why Goodreads never hired a designer...
@nspehler It seems like they stopped all development after they were acquired by Amazon. So it great to see all these new books & reading products including PH Books :)
Really nice ... like the simple design. It's a refreshing break from GoodReads' clutter. Add a few options to customize your profile (or just pull in your Twitter profile) and it'll be perfect.
@maguay Thanks Matthew. Yep, I'm going to focus on the user profiles next
@feint One more thing: needs a way to manually add books that aren't in Amazon (like the A Book Apart library).
@maguay yep absolutely
Oh please build an iOS companion app thats just as clean and simple.
@mattdavey I really want to do an ios app
