Metronome: Stay on beat with a simple, customizable metronome.
Capture & Organize Audio: Record audio from any active browser tab, rename, delete, and manage files—all locally in your browser.
Save & Export: Save recordings and use them in your favorite DAW or editor.
Smart BPM Analysis: Automatically detect BPM and get suggestions for possible tempo values of recorded audio.
💡 Why I Made This:
As a producer, I often switched between multiple tools for simple tasks like finding BPMs, humming melodies, or conceptualizing drum patterns by beatboxing (you know, the "dum-tsk-tsk-dum-dum" routine every producer has done). The metronome helps lock those ideas in, keeping things tight while jamming or prototyping. Ritmo brings everything together—BPM tapping, metronome, recording, analyzing, and organizing audio—all in one place, letting creators focus on creating instead of switching tools.

One idea could be to integrate a collaborative feature where multiple users can jam together in real-time, sharing their rhythms and ideas directly through the extension. This could enhance creativity and make it easier for producers to work together, even from a distance.

Congrats on the launch! I’ve been using other extensions for tapping BPM, but having everything like BPM tapper, metronome, audio recorder with BPM analysis, and organizing audio, all in one plugin is so much more convenient. Perfect for quick ideas or production prep! Loving it so far!
Love the idea of Ritmo! As someone who dabbles in music production, having a tool that combines these essential features in one place sounds like a huge time-saver. I can already see myself using the Tap Tempo and Metronome features when sketching out ideas on the go. Curious—does the audio capture work across all tabs or just the active one? Definitely trying this out!

The audio capture feature captures whatever is playing on the tab where Ritmo is open and provides live playback while recording (Technically, it‘s also possible to drag and drop a local audio file to a browser tab and capture & analyze it).
The capture feature is quite useful not just for BPM analysis but also for simply recording and organizing audio files. Feel free to hit me up if you have any suggestions.
