What do you think? …

Serhii Lizunov
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built Ranpo AI out of pure frustration. As a nomad, I move a lot, and renting in Europe is a nightmare. After a brutal battle to get my deposit back from a coliving in Barcelona, I decided: never again. We usually rent based on pretty photos. Ranpo AI is your "third eye" that sees the risks before you pay. What it does: Scans for Red Flags: Finds trigger phrases and scam patterns in descriptions. Audits Reputation: Cross-checks landlords and local area risks. Instant Reports: Get a trust score in under a minute. Current Coverage: Works with Idealista, Agoda, Badi, Flatio, HousingAnywhere, and Spotahome. V2 for Facebook Marketplace is coming next. I’m building this in public to make nomad life about freedom, not rental scams. Let me know what you think!

As a person who travels a lot I had some experience when I didn’t do enough research when booking a place and ended up in sketchy situations, like host asking for a deposit under some unclear conditions. It seems like a great idea to have service that can give you this kind of risk analysis. I’ll definitely gonna try it for my next trips

Look, I just tried Ranpo AI and honestly, it’s a lifesaver but it’s also got some "builder" rough edges. The core idea is fire—being able to dump a link and get a risk score is exactly what every nomad needs when they're staring at a "too good to be true" apartment in a city they don't know. It actually caught a couple of weird red flags in the description that I totally missed because I was just looking at the pretty kitchen photos.

But here’s the thing: some of the output feels a bit robotic. Like, it tells me there’s a "30% risk" but doesn't immediately tell me why or what I should do next. If I’m about to send a $1,000 deposit, "30% risk" just makes me anxious without giving me a solution. I need it to tell me straight up: "Yo, this guy is asking for a deposit before a viewing, that's a scam, run." Also, if the UI isn't dead simple on mobile, it’s going to be a pain because I'm usually checking these links on the go. It’s got massive potential to be the "default" tool for the community, it just needs to stop being so polite and start being more of a cynical local expert who’s seen every trick in the book.

Want me to help you tighten up the prompt so the AI sounds more like that cynical local expert?

Wow, exactly the problem that I had. Some cities that I traveled to or lived in I got in a situations where this kind of analysis of property would safe me some money and time for sure!

One of the few actually useful AI services out there. Especially helpful if you travel often (like me) or if you’re planning a long trip for the first time. I like how easy it is to use, the detailed report after the check, and that you don’t need to create another account. Still it would be nice to expand the search to more platforms and major social networks in the future (if uncle Mark allows it)

I found this tool in a nomad chat and decided to give it a try. Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised. As a skeptical person, I wanted to test it on a rental that didn’t look like a scam at all, but actually was one. I used it to check a rental listing that looked completely legit, but was actually a scam. I had rented this place before and only found out later that it was fake. When I ran a this listing through Ranpo, it correctly flagged it as a scam. Simple, fast, and easy to understand. I like that kind of thing.

Also, what is going on in London? It feels like half the world’s scam rents are there??

If you don’t have a good instinct for scams yet, this tool is worth using. Better safe than sorry 😎
