Howdy! The kitchen is ripe for connected objects — we spend a lot of time in it and it's an emotional center of the home. But we shouldn't have to hover around in order to make great food. How about getting the right alert to come back to the oven to put food in, take dinner out, or turn it off? And Range OI's sensors works in concert with your phone and a geofence to gain the context needed to give those just-in-time notifications. People upgrade their ovens at an even slower rate than they do their TVs, so we think the set-top box approach is a good alternative. It's challenging to design objects that both look good and work well enough for serious chefs to give a spot in the kitchen. I'd love to hear feedback.
