Hey ProductHunt! @shruthi and I started Quest out of our passion for the great problem of misallocated talent in India. We think the best way to prove your skills in this day and age is not to write exams or do courses, but to actually do the thing itself We think that the time wasted on the endless entrance exam grind can be better spent building projects of real utility for the public A Quest is designed to be something a smart high schooler or college student (or dropout) can complete in 2-4 weeks, and creates a tangible public benefit. Even just trying to solve one of these quests will benefit you by teaching you useful skills. And if you excel, you might just create something very useful for the public!

I believe building a generic project, following the same old YT loop aren't gonna get us anywhere. I came across Quest few days back, and I loved it. They are mentoring students by solving real pain points in Indian scenario - however, few quests are even generalized - that'll fit anywhere. Moreover, Quest promises to pitch the project with potential employers. Students solve real pain points, they learn system thinking, design, development, they get pitched to employers ... what else do we need.

Thank you for your efforts, thank you for your mentoring.
