Hey Product Hunt! I recently listened to a podcast episode that sparked the idea for PodCheck. The guests were discussing AI opportunities and one particular idea stood out. They were talking about the shift from traditional to non-traditional media. The Problem: Traditional media outlets are losing ground to podcasts, YouTube channels, and independent creators. While pointing fingers, they highlight real issues with non-traditional media: Minimal accountability - anyone can start a podcast Lack of journalistic standards - no editorial oversight Poor fact-checking - guests can make claims without verification No ethical guidelines - misinformation spreads unchecked The suggestion was simple but powerful: "What if we could fact-check podcasts automatically?" That idea wouldn't leave my head, so I built PodCheck. How It Evolved: I started with a basic transcript analyzer, but quickly realized that wasn't enough. Context matters. So I added: Timestamp navigation - jump directly to fact-checked moments Source verification - see where claims come from Category classification - confirmed, partially confirmed, unverifiable Multi-language support - because misinformation crosses borders What PodCheck Does: Paste a YouTube podcast link -> AI extracts and verifies factual claims -> Get timestamped, categorized results with sources -> Share public links I'd love your feedback on: Which podcast platforms should we support next?
