What do you think? …

Stepan Arsentjev

I’ve been using Pinecone across a few projects and found it really hard to inspect what’s there or understand why certain queries behave the way they do.

I built Pinecone Explorer as a simple, native desktop tool to explore indexes, vectors, metadata, and query results without writing ad-hoc scripts.

What it supports today:

  • Connect to multiple Pinecone projects and indexes

  • Browse namespaces, vectors, and metadata

  • Run semantic queries and inspect similarity scores

  • Easily work with dense, sparse, and hybrid indexes

  • Test reranking

  • Native macOS app, fully open source (MIT)

This isn’t meant to replace Pinecone’s console, it’s just a tool I wanted while building and debugging retrieval systems.

I’d really appreciate feedback:

  • What feels missing?

  • What would make this more useful in your day-to-day work with Pinecone?

Thanks for checking it out.
