Patch is a security app for Mac and iPhone (in App Store review) designed for people who'd rather not bounce around a dozen scary-looking tools trying to deal with online security. It checks for scams, finds leaked and duplicate passwords, helps freeze your credit and remove you from data broker sites, all in one place, with a security advisor that answers questions and shows you how to fix things. No account needed, and nothing is kept on our servers, so there's nothing to steal.
I'm a rookie vibe-coder somehow presenting a security app because I saw the gap it would fill. Now, having spent so much time obsessing over getting it right, I’d be even more nuts not to put it out there. So here goes.
The inspiration was a simple breach alert, which I clicked away for the hundredth time. Except this time I got a little anxious, wondering if I was being dumb, so I went to Chrome Password Manager and saw dozens of other sites with breaches and closed that too, not caring whether I was being dumb or not. Because screw that. I’d rather suppress the feeling of being not-so-vaguely exposed than go down that rabbit hole. And I figure most people are like that about online security. A dozen scary-looking tools. A hundred random sites.
Patch fixes that. It tells you where your passwords have leaked and walks you through setting up stronger authentication. It also helps freeze your credit at all four bureaus, gets you off data broker sites, checks whether a text or email or pic is a scam, and keeps you informed about hacks of sites that you use. You don’t need an account and nothing’s kept on our servers, so there’s nothing to steal. All in a pleasant, easy-to-navigate space. Think of it as your online security center.
Right now the full version is free for a year with no credit card needed.
A security app should invite scrutiny, so ask me the hard questions. Patch is tight but nothing’s invulnerable, and I’d rather know now if there’s anything I missed.

Patch fills in the gap on an immensely annoying part of digital life. As someone with very little free time, it feels impossible to address “password breach” alerts and the headaches of all the shit involved in fixing it. Patch solves that and more—and it’s super simple to setup and use. Very rad. Would definitely recommend.
