What's great
we were pulling numbers out of PDFs and CSVs from a few vendors by hand every week, mostly to reconcile invoices before they went into our accounting tool. Parseflow took that from a recurring 30-40 minute manual copy-paste job down to a review-and-approve step, which is really what data entry automation should feel like - not zero human involvement, just less of the boring part
What needs improvement
the extraction accuracy drops on scanned PDFs with poor image quality, we had to manually correct a handful of fields on a couple of older vendor invoices. better handling of low-quality scans, or at least a clearer confidence flag on individual fields it's unsure about, would save the manual double-check step
vs Alternatives
Makewe looked at Make first since we already use it for a couple of other workflows, but building a reliable parser for messy vendor PDFs in a general visual automation tool meant a lot of manual scenario-building. Parseflow is narrower and just handles the extraction part well out of the box
