Reminds me of Point!

@chrismessina Thanks for your comment :) There are a lot of browser-based page highlighting, commenting, sharing Chrome extensions, including Point. PageNow focuses more on real-time aspect of "sharing" and try to provide common topics of interests and help people to start conversations.

Hi everyone! PageNow is an open-source social Chrome Extension for everyone passionate about work. While working on a side project, reading a research paper, or an online article, I frequently feel the urge to share what I'm doing or see what my friends are doing! PageNow lets you share what you are reading with your friends in real-time. Here are some features that PageNow offers: šŸ“Œ Share what page you are reading. šŸ“Œ See what your friends are reading. šŸ“Œ Notify friends of a page you want them to check out. šŸ“Œ Start contextual conversations. If you want to try PageNow out, send me (email: 2dragonvirus@gmail.com) a friend request on PageNow. For anyone curious about how PageNow is built, the entire source code is at https://github.com/PageNow. A blog post series about developing PageNow is at https://noninertialframe.com/blo....

Are you storing my visited pages somewhere and how do you protect this information?
Yongkyun Daniel Lee
@bogomep Thanks for your comment! Users get to share pages at the domain level, so they can create a list of domains allowed to be shared. PageNow stores the visited pages only for the domains that are allowed to be shared by each user. The stored user activity history cannot be read by any user because it is not displayed anywhere, and the read access is restricted.
