@rrhoover Both hidden and retail hotel listings include a number of data points, such as amenities, neighborhood, and review score. By combining all these data points, it's relatively straightforward to match up hidden listings to their corresponding retail listings with high confidence. In fact, my original inspiration for Opaque was that I found myself doing this matching manually when booking on Hotwire, and realized it would be easy to do programmatically as well. Awesome execution. I've found myself doing the same manual process of elimination and doing this programmatically was a great idea. It looks like you are charging a $5 commission by spying on the hotwire checkout session? I couldn't figure out how else you can charge the same card hotwire is charging without collecting payment info elsewhere on the app. What is stopping people then from making the hotwire booking on their own in a separate browser that you can't spy on to avoid the $5 commision?
