Thanks for Hunting us Chris! We’re really excited to be launching Numeracy 2.0 today. When we first launched on Product Hunt about a year ago we had a very basic SQL pad with a couple of novel interactions, but since then we’ve rebuilt the app from the ground up with hundreds of improvements, optimizations, and new features. The 2 biggest features are dashboards and parameterized queries. Dashboards were our number 1 request when we launched last year and we worked really hard to make something that looks great and is intuitive to use. We originally built parameters as a way to create dynamic queries for dashboards, but along the way we realized that it allowed you to write much less convoluted SQL, even if you never plan on putting your query in a dashboard. Maybe most importantly, with this release Numeracy is now free for individuals. We think there are far too many people still using psql who could be dramatically more efficient. We’ve also cut the price of using Numeracy with your teammates to only $10 per user per month. These changes have been a year in the making, and we think they make Numeracy the fastest way to query and visualize data. We have a lot more details about what went into this release in this blog post (https://blog.numeracy.io/numerac...), but but mostly we’re excited for you to try the latest version Numeracy and let us know what you think. P.S we’ve also hidden some easter eggs in our new user experience if you’re interested in solving some SQL and visualization based puzzles. Brian
@sirwart Awesome product. I'll pass on the message as a know few people that would be benefited from this.
@mirmayne Thanks Daveyon, I'm glad you like it!

I've been using Numeracy for the last 6 months to track analytics on a wide range of metrics in a SAAS service.

Having built KPI dashboards for my own startups several times in the past I wish Numeracy had existed back then – with less than an hours work you can have a dashboard that aggregates data from across your application. You'll refer to it every day to help you make core business decisions.

Pros:

Beautiful design, just the right amount of features

Cons:

Still need to brush up on SQL skills to use

The whole engineering team at ZenSourcer team loves how easy Numeracy makes it to write queries, whether that’s to quickly debug a customer issue or throw together a quick analytics dashboard.

Pros:

The fastest way to query a database. I haven’t opened psql since I started using Numeracy!

Cons:

I wish they could auto-import our chart.io dashboards instead of recreating them manually.

In getting Bright solar off the ground, I've tried several tools from psql, pgcli, pgweb, Metabase and finally Periscope. For quick analysis, nothing even compares to the raw speed of Numeracy.

Numeracy gets out of my way and lets me write SQL, but goes above and beyond. The automatically calculated column statistics of any query have already helped me identify and fix data bugs I wasn't even looking for, and the "record view" for JSONB types is singlehandedly saving my vision.

This is the simple SQL tool I've been looking for since the first time I used phpMyAdmin, and is steadily replacing my BI use cases too.

Pros:

Fast. Beautiful. Fast. Column statistics are incredibly useful.

Cons:

Historically is has been dashboarding, can't wait to try it out in 2.0.

Woah this looks fire flames 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@nate_harris Thanks Nate! We tried hard to make data and SQL something that's fun to use.
