Hi Product Hunt šŸ‘‹ I'd originally started building NoFi out of personal need. Like many of you, I use Notion to run my life and I wanted to track my finances in Notion without the hassle of manual data entry. I wasn't able to find a tool that could do this reliably, so I built one :). NoFi's killer feature is definitely the automated synchronization between your financial accounts and your Notion workspace. This is something we've come to expect from dedicated personal finance apps (Mint, Rocket Money, etc.) but when it comes to Notion templates, manual data entry is still the norm? I hope that NoFi can change this and help other Notion geeks like myself better manage their finances in Notion. I've received some great initial feedback from folks on Reddit, and I'm super excited to now share NoFi with the Product Hunt community! Give it a try and let me know what you think! -Ian P.S šŸ” Security&Privacy Since we're dealing with financial data here, questions about security and privacy are both inevitable and welcomed. I've seen that some users in the Notion community are concerned that Notion is not a secure means of storing financial data. I'd like to provide a couple clarifications around that as it relates to NoFi: * NoFi doesn't store any personally identifiable financial information in Notion. We don't even receive this information from Plaid. We only store account names/balances and transaction-level data that is needed for budgeting/spend tracking. This means that even if a malicious actor were to gain access to NoFi's databases and/or Notion's databases, they wouldn't be able to compromise your accounts. * Notion is SOC2 and GDPR compliant, per their security & privacy page. Obviously this does not guarantee your data is secure. However, it's better than many other popular personal finance apps, such as Rocket Money can claim!

It great template, I am trying it for myself so many time it gets hard to maintain over time
Ian Hansborough
@nayan_jagtap glad you like it! Yeah trying to enter everything manually is just not feasible for most people as it's super hard to maintain / I found myself just not sticking with it. Hoping NoFi can solve that issue for a lot of folks :)

WOW. Notion is getting more powerful everyday! Slick integration!
Ian Hansborough
@sentry_co So glad you like it! The Notion API certainly has a lot of potential for building these types of "dynamic" or "automated" template products. I'm personally super interested in exploring what other areas these kinds of templates could be used for

šŸ’” Bright idea
@ianhansborough An idea for a notion template: I would definitely pay for a notion template that connected to Google analytics. A nice dashboard would be such a painkiller for startups.
Ian Hansborough
@sentry_co Love that idea - I think there would be a lot of value in having analytics information / metrics available in a company's workspace to use in project planning, goal tracking, etc. Plus the GA portal can an be pretty overwhelming so not having to deal with that anymore would be super nice haha

Looks useful!

My finances are spread over a many different accounts, what financial institutions does NoFi support? Are multiple countries supported?
Ian Hansborough
@trey_hakanson Great question - NoFi currently uses Plaid as it's banking auth parter. Last I checked they claim to support >10k financial institutions of all varieties (banks, credit unions, brokerages, etc.). As of right now, NoFi can only support institutions in the US and Canada. However, I'm hoping that plaid will enable us to support more countries soon!

Woah, this is a game-changer!
