I'm Nahrin — software engineer and the person who spent months going down a rabbit hole on why job searching is broken.
This started with a research paper. I wanted to understand why referrals work 4–10x better than cold applications. I ended up deep in Granovetter's 1973 weak-ties theory and a 2022 Science paper that ran a causal experiment on 20 million LinkedIn users.
The finding: the people most likely to get you your next job aren't your close friends. They're people you barely know — acquaintances who live in different professional clusters and carry information your close network doesn't have.
The problem: there's no way to see this structure. Your LinkedIn connections list is just names.
So I built the map. When I ran my own data through it, my two structural bridges — my only connections to industries I had no other path into — were the last people I would have thought to reach out to.

Update from the maker — I ran my own data through Navox before launch. It flagged two structural bridges — people I'd never have thought to contact. One of them I met at my neighborhood gym 8 years ago. We'd wave and chat for two minutes. That was it.
It took me a week to convince myself to reach out. I sent a short message with a screenshot of his tie weight score.
He replied immediately: "Who, me?! I am useful to you? how?"
We're having coffee soon and I am already thinking about what I want to learn from that conversation. The science works. The tool found the path — I just had to take it.
