Music Widget is a remote app for Apple Music on macOS. It's a take on the original iTunes Widget introduced with Dashboard in Mac OS X 'Tiger' back in 2005. Music Widget looks extra sharp on retina displays because most of its interface is drawn in code.
Music Widget is finally out of beta and v1.0 was posted on the webpage some time ago. This build will have to manually replace the beta since it is the first build to have the Sparkle framework built in. Future updates will just happen within the app but you must get v1.0 (Free).

And thank you for your patience with this. I know it isn't ideal to have to manually go and update the app but I honestly didn't think it would become this popular. π
@chrismessina This is probably the biggest request so I am planning that now for a possible v2. I am trying to get it out of beta and get v1 out soon. It just needs an auto-update mechanism like Sparkle because it wonβt be going to the Mac App Store. But given how many Spotify users are out there, I may not have a choice. Initially, it was AM only to keep it true with the original iTunes Widget in Dashboard. Times have changed obviously but thanks for this feedback. Just solidifies that I need to do Spotify integration down the road.
