After my direct involvement with several LynQ demonstrations, product tests, and overall personal global user experiences / discussions from Coachella to Iceland to Burning Man to Secret Solstice to New York to Machu Picchu to Sleipnir Glaciering and back to my hometown of Laguna Beach, California ... this product rocks!!
Hi Matt & LynQ team,
Just wanted to say thanks for a great product. LynQ was super useful for me and my friends at Coachella this year. While the phone network was down once in a while, it had never been easier to find each other with the LynQ. So smooth! :)
Thanks! and big ups on the campaign!
I was recently at a festival with friends with full bars on my phone but, because the spectrum was so jammed up, I had no service. I had no way to contact anyone if we got split up, and of course, I wasn't going to spend an hour waiting at the designated meeting point until my drunk friends decided they'd come and find me. This would have been really useful. I equate it to the pedestrian version of an avalanche beacon for backcountry skiers and snowboarders. I'm excited for the LynQ team and how far they've come. I've been hearing about this project for a few years now. They've even managed to raise a staggering ~$1.35 million on IGG.
@rueter You'll have your LynQs soon for these situations! thanks for hunting us we appreciate your support over the years

Used it at a festival and it was awesome – easy to see which way people went and to meet up with them. Often group management is super hard and there's always someone who doesn't pick up the messages, meaning you have to walk slow to get to the right scene or spend all day looking for your friends. With Lynq it's easy to wander off to a side stage with the comfort of knowing you can always get back to your friends later (or they can find you).
Pros:
Works without signal, doesn't let you get distracted in messages, sturdy design
Cons:
It's another device to carry and to charge so that needs to be coordinated a bit (especially if you're out and about the whole day)
Love that you understand how LynQ = freedom and peace of mind to do the things you love with the people you care about most. Thanks Magnus!

I have personally used lynQ at Burning Man, in the jungles of Thailand, and ATVing in Missouri - the device has survived being run over, dropped in a creek, and being used in sub freezing conditions in Svalbard in the arctic circle. I can personally vouch for the device’s reliability and ability to operate in challenging conditions.
Disclaimer: I helped lynQ roll out the Autism market and with component design in 2017/2018
