The quality of the project and its documentation is just amazing. I studied electronics but always spent my time in software, and this inspired me to combine all! Lovely work, and thanks for making this open-source!

I can’t get over how you solve the hardware problem with better software. The battery life squashes what’s on the market. Solid documentation.

Interesting to see such a product here. My congrats on the launch. It also looks very stylish. What is the monetization? As far as I understood, 1-2 $ monthly payments, but any payment for the gadget?

I currently use an air tag with my Cat which is excellent while I live in a city this would be great for when I visit my parents and have to bring the cat. I don't expect the cat to get out but if it does it would be nice to know that I can track my cat and bring him back home. This would also work wonders with Dogs, as when you get a new dog they often find the holes in fences and then you have to get your daily work getting your dog back. It would still be a workout, but knowing where they've gone without running around in panic looking for them would be great. I'm super excited to see that it's open-source as well! I'm definitely going to look into this :D

I need this so badly. I’ve held out on buying a pet tracker for my cat because I didn’t feel like they were prioritizing the features I needed most. The only current products on the market either don’t have a battery, meaning you can only get location when it’s within range, or are battery-powered but track every movement of the cat, meaning you have to charge it frequently. Find My Cat has struck the perfect balance, giving me real-time location info via GPS whenever I NEED to know where my cat is, without tracking every little movement. Plus, the hyper-precise locating feature (within bluetooth range) is genius! And, the fact that it’s open-source?! Means it’s only going to keep getting better. If they can get the hardware down to around half its current size, it will be truly a miracle for cat owners. 👏 I can’t wait to put one on my Mila. 🥰 🐈 Thanks for making this!!
