I got inspired by the viral postcard cafes around the world where you can write letters to your future self and they mail it to you later. One concern the internet shared with these cafes is the uncertainty around whether your address today will be your address 5, 10, or 20 years from now.
We thought it would be really fun and useful to have a digital version of this concept - where you could add photos, videos, and audio to your written letters. Something you could write from anywhere and be certain that it will reach you in the future wherever you are with an internet connection.
Lunchbox is a digital time capsule where you can write letters to your future self or the people you love, and schedule them to arrive on any date you'd like - next month, next year, or even decades from now. Send a birthday message, capture how you're feeling during a big milestone, or create something for your kids to read when they're older. Your letter is fully customizable - from border design to font to attachments. You can even record a video message right on the website. And once it’s sent, just like physical mail, you can’t open or edit again :)
