I love loom. I have used Quicktime to record my screen for years, but the whole post production to upload to dropbox to share was a hassle.

Loom has saved me time and with its' comments and notification when someone has watched my video is a fantastic add on

I love Loom

Pros:

Fantastic way to record my screen and share

Cons:

That it has taken this long to get to a desktop app =)

Before Loom, sharing a video of a product bug was a daunting tasks. You would need to either use Quicktime on Mac or some other complicated software to record your screen (maybe if your lucky the audio would work) and that would give you a big old 500+ MB video file for a decent sized video. At this point you lose faith since you need to share this and it's not getting any smaller even if you try all the compression tricks. You end up uploading it for a half hour to G Drive and send a link to your co-worker... Now you can literally click the Chrome extension, click start, record and then share. DONE.

Pros:

It just works and the sharing and commenting functionalities are flawless.

Cons:

Sometimes there are bugs when recording on Chrome but this might have been resolved with the new releases.

I do site development meaning I design sewers and set the finished grade. Sometimes the client wants to see what things will look like as we’re working. Autocad doesn’t allow you to export your object viewer (where you see things in 3D) so we used to export to sketch-up and it took hours to tinker and get things to look how they did before exporting. We rarely did it because of how long it took. Now we do it often to show clients that want to be more involved in the design but cant visualize what we put in paper as well. Slowly becoming a powerful tool to help us serve our clients.

Pros:

Sleek & bloody easy to use

Cons:

No outlook integration

I use Loom several times a day to communicate with my clients and absolutely love it. It makes my life so much easier. The ease of use allows me to quickly jump on, outline something to my client and send to them. What might take me 20mins to explain in an email with screenshots can be done in 5mins with Loom - if not less.

Pros:

Easy of use, amazing customer service, constantly improving

Cons:

Tiny distortion of visual recording quality but minor (and something I know they are working on)

There are plenty of screen recorders but none are as streamlined as Loom for going from recording to sharing your video. Plus, I haven't had any bugginess unlike some recorders I've tried. It even works on our Chromebook!

Pros:

Super simple, works well, streamlined for sharing

Cons:

Nothing other than features I could dream of adding 🙃

This is one service that I would really hate to lose. My work productivity would suffer, and the project would suffer. Using quick videos for QA purposes in game testing lets me do in a 1 or 2 minute video what I would have to type out in long form. It's direct for everyone involved.

Pros:

So very simple to use, slack integration, well thought out UI, smart all around

Cons:

For me and the work I do I find no cons.

Our team have used it for 3 weeks and I've lost count of the amount of colleagues who have praised the videos we create with it.

I adore this product

Cons:

None

I use this everyday to help explain a SASS platform to my clients. It has saved me HOURS of time

Pros:

Really easy to use. It is so quick to take a video and send it off. I don't even use half the features as it does one thing so so well.

Cons:

None

Can’t live without Loom! Especially now that the desktop app is out and has more features.

Pros:

The simplest way to record quick videos and share them with your team. It works better than any other solution with no hassles.

Cons:

I create more videos than ever because of Loom so it’s possible that my remote team gets to see my my early morning messy hair.

I love using Loom and it's the easiest way to show people how to do something online. I love the ability to record a video and email the link out to clients and friends.

I keep finding new ways to implement the solution into my daily workflow.

I recommend Loom all the time.

Awesome solution.

Pros:

I love the direction and the opportunity to do more from the desktop

Cons:

Nadda.

Loom is crucial for communicating with a remote team. Many levels of my team use it for varied reasons. From design changes, customer tutorials, sales demos, feature pitches, the list goes on. We haven't run out of ways to use Loom.

Pros:

Easy for any level user + Incredibly Reliable

Cons:

None outside of the roadmap

I use this software almost daily to share support my clients. They love the personal touch it provides and obviously the simplicity inherent to video.

Pros:

Loom is the best screen recording tool PERIOD

Cons:

Wish it could make me look less tired

Loom ftw

Pros:

Easy to use, just under your fingertips, free, good quality

Cons:

Had some issues with quality on high-res screens, but I think it got better

I use Loom weekly for internal updates, which have been positively received and appreciated by my team.

It's pretty easy to post a recording to Slack, and include your own message with the post. People have been actively using the timeline emoji feature to react to different parts of my updates --- which has helped me get a pulse of how everyone is doing or what they care about.

Ever since I've gotten access to the call to action, whitelabeling, and custom thumbnails --- I've gone bananas with customizing the videos to make them more fun and surprising.

Additionally, Loom has been helpful with support replies to users or for an added personal touch to an otherwise ordinary email.

Pros:

- Easy to launch and kickoff a recording

- Call to action and Thumbnail features make my internal videos more engaging

- Luna is best dog

Cons:

- One time I accidentally invited everybody to Loom on Slack. It DM'd waaaay more people than I expected --- oops!

SIMPLY AWESOME

Pros:

AWESOME

Cons:

TAKES TIME TO BUFFER THE VIDEOS

I use this all the time and it keeps getting better. I have a chromebook and was really frustrated with solutions like Snagit, nothing seemed to work on ChromeOS. This nails it for me.

Pros:

So easy, Just Works, Free

Cons:

None

It's almost exactly the same logo.

Pros:

Product seems fine.

Cons:

Why are you using the Samsonite logo?

Such a great app on top of an amazing service.

Pros:

Easy to use and beautiful.

Cons:

Nothing yet

We've been on the beta for this, and it's great! Not being limited by the browser and having high quality exports is top-notch 🙃

Pros:

Simple, easy, and great high-quality videos we send to customer and prospects

Cons:

None 🎉
