Even if IT-security mechanisms fail, the human factor can be used to protect your data. Protect your data with baits on your computer and physically. Get notified if someone has used your computer or file cabinet. Works with your partner or anonymous hackers.
The story of how I came up with this idea was pretty terrible and full of deceit.
My colleague was staying with me in my apartment because he had broken up with his girlfriend.
3 months later I was $1450 poorer and he was $1450 richer because he snuck into my computer and had access to my Paypal account.
And I didn't notice it the whole time.
You put bait on your computer (or physically if you want) and if someone has access to your computer they will bite. Because the person, whether hacker or your partner will access it. And with that you will be informed and you can react fast and protect your data and privacy.

Absolutely. At the end if you put it on your computer you should catch all intruder, hackers which has access to your computer via a backdoor or your spouse which maybe have access to your computer.
Or you write the credentials and the url down and you put it in your private drawer. It can be used in very different ways.
