One product designer, a couple weekends, 100% vibe code. Lots of yolo no-look merges on main. And here we are. Track Santa in real time this Christmas. Watch a replay of his flight last year (48k+ verified stops!) Last but certainly not least, chat with Poppa Elf, ambassador to the north pole. He loves ALL sorts of questions about any thing you can imagine, but especially questions about Santa, elf culture, and life at the north pole.

Hi, I’m David — creator of this little Santa tracker. I’m a product designer, and recent convert to what people are calling “vibe coding” - but i dunno, still feels like product design to me. I’m just giving instructions to a robot instead of a human.
Anyways, a lot of people are understandably nervous about AI and what it means for our future. The doomers say it will destroy us. The accelerationists say it will save us. As usual, the truth is probably somewhere in between.
But here’s what I believe: AI can be used for good.
Case in point: this website.
Using a combination of pure VIBES, neural network inference, and what I can only describe as aggressive prompt engineering, I uncovered irrefutable proof of something humanity has debated for centuries:
Santa Claus is real.
The evidence was… scattered. NSA servers. MI6 archives. FSB cold storage. One extremely unsecured Raspberry Pi in the basement of the Finnish Security Intelligence Service. But with AI’s help, I pieced it all together: over 48,000 verified delivery coordinates, precise timestamps, and even weather conditions at each stop.
What you’re seeing on the site now is Santa’s actual flight path from last year (2024) — reconstructed from classified satellite imagery, radar signatures, and thousands of civilian eyewitness reports aggregated from social media. It’s the most complete picture of Santa’s operation ever assembled.
Naturally, Santa noticed.
Luckily, he found the whole thing hilarious. Instead of putting me on the naughty list, he volunteered Poppa Elf — his most patient and talkative helper — to answer questions from visitors to this site.
For the live Santa tracker, things get a little spicier.
I’ve established… let’s call it unofficial access to the combined satellite networks of the United States, China, and Russia. As it turns out, they’ve all been tracking Santa for decades — they just never compared notes. In retrospect, the Cold War makes a lot more sense when you realize everyone was racing to get Santa’s gift list first.
So yes — AI is powerful.
Yes — it can be dangerous.
But it can also be used to finally answer the questions that matter most.
